Divine Flow 031: The Oil Was Meant for You

📖 1 Samuel 16:1 (ESV)
“Fill your horn with oil, and go; I will send you to Jesse the Bethlehemite, for I have provided for myself a king among his sons.”

💬 Devotional Word:
When God sends oil, He already knows who it’s for.

Samuel was ready to anoint the obvious choice — the tall one, the strong one, the one with the résumé. But God interrupted his logic with divine vision. David wasn’t even invited to the selection. Yet the oil wouldn’t flow for anyone else.

You don’t have to fight for what’s already been assigned.
The anointing on your life isn’t up for public debate. It’s not dependent on who sees you or who validates you.

The oil waited for David — and it will wait for you.
When God has chosen you, no amount of delay, rejection, or invisibility can block the flow.

Your time is not on hold — it’s being honored by Heaven.

🧠 The OIL Breakdown:

O – Ordained before the crowd knew your name
God didn’t consult anyone’s opinion before He chose you.

I – Irreplaceable assignment
No one can carry what you’re called to carry.

L – Legitimate anointing
Your oil didn’t come from man. It came from the throne.

“The oil is mine. I’ve been chosen by God — not people.”

Where have I been waiting for permission from people who aren’t even holding the oil?

Father,
Thank You that I’ve been chosen by You. Even when others overlook or disqualify me, You’ve set me apart for something holy. I won’t beg for a place at tables You never called me to. I receive the oil, the calling, and the timing You’ve ordained. Let me walk in it with confidence, courage, and clarity.
